pourHOPPY is a social impact platform that allows the beer industry to drive awareness and funds to improve the state of mental health. Just as “hops” are a necessary ingredient in beer, “happy” is a necessary ingredient in life.
While breweries are committed to sustainability efforts, giving to community social issues is often prohibited by a nonprofit’s inability to accept funds from alcohol companies.
pourHOPPY solves this problem. pourHOPPY serves as an expert intermediary. pourHOPPY provides turnkey tools and resources for breweries to showcase how they drive national social impact in the mental health space. pourHOPPY’s expert team then provides grant dollars to leading, proven mental health organizations.

Founded in 2023, pourHOPPY drives critical awareness and funds to battle the mental health crisis in our country. 1 in 5 Americans live with a mental health illness. Social isolation is a major health issue. Beer has the power to bring people together, yet only less than .3% of craft beer gross sales is donated to drive social good. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) can require resources, headcount, and investment may breweries don't have. But, what if giving back can be made simple and effective?
Janelle is an entrepreneur, leading nonprofit executive and beer enthusiast! In 2022, she founded Purpose Unites, a corporate social responsibility consultancy. After two successful years, Janelle realized she needed to do more and unite her passion of beer and social good to address the mental health crisis in the country. At this moment, pourHOPPY began brewing.
